About the Mission

In 2020, prior to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bayath Duron LLC (previously Tinner Enterprises LLC) team established a clear and focused mission for the organization to be accomplished by the year 2030. Over the course of 10 years, we aim to help a total of 100 entrepreneurs and nonprofit leaders who will have high impacts on the community either start their new venture or grow their current venture. Specifically we are focused on ventures, domestic and global, that are owned or led by individuals who identify as being from the African Diaspora (Hebrew Israelite, Foundational Black, African, Moors), Arabs, North and South American Indigenous, or Pacific Islander heritages.

Each year, Bayath Duron LLC will aim to work with 10 new clients. We will continue to accept a new set of 10 clients each year until we are serving a total of 100 clients.

History (Original)

History of Bayath Duron LLC

𐤁𐤃𐤅𐤓𐤅𐤍 (Bayath Duron or Bayath DaUaRaUaN) is Paleo-Hebrew for House of Duron. It is the 2021 rebranded name of the company after the passing of Duron’s mother, Jamale Thompson. The previous name for the company was Tinner Enterprises LLC, after Duron’s great grandmother, Willie Mae Tinner also known as Big Momma. Willie Mae raised Duron’s mother and also helped to raise him.

In 2014, Duron started his first official company, instead of working as a freelancer, in an effort to provide for himself and his mother. Duron had always been an entrepreneur and innovator, with his first venture being a nonprofit organization he started in 2008. In 2010, Duron’s mother was diagnosed with kidney failure after spending years fighting with lupus. He entered entrepreneurship as a sole proprietor freelancer in order to provide for the household. Duron would convert his sole proprietorship into a Limited Liability Company in 2014, after completing his bachelor’s degree at Seattle University, which was two years before his mother’s first time being diagnosed with cancer.

The Family-Owned Business

The most important element about Bayath Duron LLC is that it is a Hebrew Israelite/Foundational Black-owned family company that serves the personal and business needs of the Family of Duron. The business was incorporated by Duron Jones in 2014 in an effort to establish a vehicle of generational wealth for his future children and family. The family’s goal is to change the narrative around generational wealth for African Diaspora (Hebrew Israelite, Foundational Black, African, Moors), Arabs, North and South American Indigenous, and Pacific Islander communities.

The company is focused on the interests of the Family of Duron, however, extended family members of Duron and additional employees and contractors work together to accomplish the goals of Duron Jones and his immediate family.

Family-Owned Business

Bayath Duron LLC main philanthropic investment is in the young scholars and families of the World Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (WAIE). The beneficiary is an asynchronous, culturally responsive, digital learning, independent school that provides youth with real world secondary and post-secondary education in an effort to create generational wealth for them and their families. Also, three key focal points about WAIE are: (1) the mental health services young scholars have access to, (2) the plant-based lifestyle and food access program, and (3) the week-long experiential learning immersions that occur each term for our young scholars.

About Partnering

An African proverb says that it takes a village to raise a child, however, this is the same mentality needed for creating a new Black Wall Street and helping all people of color in building their businesses. Bayath Duron sees partnering with a variety of stakeholders as essential to the success of their mission and vision. We invite you to learn more about how you can partner and work with us to accomplish the goal of changing the narrative around entrepreneurship in communities of color.

We welcome partnerships from all individuals and businesses from the United States of America, Latin America, and Africa-Arabia. However, we are currently focusing all strategic partnerships on supporting the development and growth of the World Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (WAIE). You can learn more on our Partnerships page for the Be The WAIE Campaign.
